IT leaders are driving adoption The IT function is often driving the process optimization agenda forward. Even though they are most likely to see process complexity as a barrier to optimization, they are still pushing ahead and 昀椀nding value opportunities in those processes. As part of the cross-functional survey, we asked business leaders which departments they see as actual or potential change makers in their organization. IT and digital teams are most likely to be to be seen by their colleagues as the ones setting an example when it comes to process excellence. They are followed by operations (including process excellence), and supply chain. We also asked which departments respondents consider to be process laggards. The top three answers are 昀椀nance, compliance, and product development.
